Mining engineer, professor department of Surface Mining, Head of the department Surface Mining, doctor of technical sciences, senior researcher.

Date of birth - 7/15/1963. In 1989 graduated Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institutein the specialization The Technology and Complex Development of Mineral Deposits. In 1989 2010 worked in the research sector at the NMU of engineering and scientific positions.

Educational work consists of lectures and guidance of the course, and degree designing of mining disciplines.

Scientific work is to manage the implementation of research projects by technology of surface mining of ore deposits and introduction in mining production modern information technology.

He owns more than 100 published scientific articles, including 3 monographs.

 

Pchelkin.jpgGeorge Dmitrievich Pchelkin

Mining engineer, since 1964, is a candidate of technical sciences, since 1996 a professor. He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute in 1957, and in 1989 1992 he was the head of the department, professor emeritus at NMU, vice-president of the Alumni Association of the NMU. He has supervised 10 Ph.D. theses. He has about 200 scientific works, inventions, 150 of which are printed; including textbooks, manuals and monographs.

The most important works are devoted to the development of mineral deposits in complex geological conditions and formation of technogenic deposits.

Professor department of Surface Mining, honored Inventor of Ukraine, laureate of State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, laureate of the National Mining University of Ukraine in the field of Education and Science, Academician of the Academy of Mining Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of technical sciences, professor.

Date of birth 05.03.1937. In 1965, he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute in the spatiality Development of Mineral Deposits. In 1965 1972, he worked in research sector Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute in engineering and scientific positions, in 1972 - 1992 a Head of Industrial Laboratory, in 1992 1996 a Head of the department of Surface Mining.

He leads the educational work by reading lectures and course projects in the disciplines: Principles of Scientific Research, Technology of Surface Mining, Land Reclamation affected by Surface Mining. Annually directs diplomas of 4-5 students, production and pre-diploma practices.

Scientific work consists of guiding and direct performance of scientific research in mining. Over the last several years, he pays much attention to the problems of extraction of steeply iron ore and brown coal deposits at great depths with storage overburden in mined-out space in quarries.

Under the supervision of professor Drizhenka, he defended 11 Ph.D. and two doctoral dissertations. He has published more than 420 published scientific and methodological works, including 17 monographs, 2 textbooks and 6 manuals, 112 patents and certificates of invention, of which 22 are embodied in mining enterprises with a great economic effect. He has state and industry awards. Member of the Council of State University NMU and TU "KPI" for doctoral thesis.

 

Efremov.jpgErnest Ivanovitch Efremov

Date of birth - 14.11.1934.

A famous scientist in the field of mining on issues of mechanics explosive destruction of rocks, doctor of technical sciences (1974), professor (1976), corresponding Member of NAS of Ukraine (1985), honored scientist of Ukraine (1993), laureate of State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology (1983, 1997), honorary professor of the National Mining University (1998).

He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute (1957). After graduating, he worked at mining enterprises (1957-1959) and at the Mining Institute (1959-1962). Since 1962, he works at the Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics NAS of Ukraine (1974) a head of department, in 1975-1992 - under director.

The basic scientific and practical activities of Efremov are associated with the solution of fundamental problems mechanics destruction of rocks with explosive energy, study of the basic parameters of the explosive impulse, and the role of stress waves and the gaseous products of explosion in the destruction of rocks, creation and implementation of new explosives and explosive destruction high effective technology, and extraction of mineral deposits.

Efremov is a scientist who created a scientific school in the area of mechanics explosive destruction of rocks. He trained one doctor and 31 candidates of science. He is the author of 21 monographs, including textbooks and reference books, 140 inventions and 476 scientific articles.

He was awarded by: Diploma of the Presidium the High Soviet of USSR (1985), NAS of Ukraine Prize O.M. Dynnikov (1989), the III degree order of For Merit (2004), Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine (2005), honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine For Scientific Achievements (2008).

Efremov is awarded by Miner's Glory I, II and III degrees (1975, 1979, 1996), and honors Miner Valor the III degree (1999).

 

Simonenko.jpgVladimir Ivanovich Simonenko

Mining engineer, professor department of Surface Mining, the director of the Institute for the design of mining enterprises of the University, winner of the National Mining University in the field of Education and Science, doctor of technical sciences, senior researcher.

Born on 10.05.1949. In 1976, he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute. Before 1982 he worked on the cut Morozovsky and at the Institute UkrNIIproekt (Alexandria sector of development works) on engineering posts. Since 1982 he works in the research sector NMU (DHI), where he started as an engineer to the head of the NIS industrial laboratory. Since 1993, he has been teaching. Nowadays, he is the professor of this department.

Academic work is conducted by lectures in mining disciplines, supervising diploma and designing students projects, and industrial and pre-diploma practices.

Scientific work is to guide and direct implementation of scientific research and experimental design works in the problems of extraction of non-metallic mineral deposits.

He has authored over 140 published scientific and methodological works, 2 monographs, 1 textbook, 40 patents and certificates of invention of which 13 are in place at the mining enterprises with a significant economic effect. He supervises works of postgraduate students. He has industry awards and thanks.

 

Korsunsky.jpgGeorge Yakovlevich Korsunsky

Mining engineer, candidate of technical sciences, professor department of Surface Mining.

Born in 1939. In 1961 graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute.

Since 1963, he works at the National Mining University.

Methodical work is connected with the development educational plans for bachelors and masters degrees for all forms of study.

Educational work is connected with the teaching in the disciplines: Geotechnology in Mining, Construction of Open Mine Workings, Technology of Surface Mining, Computer Technology in Mining, Computer Technology Design in Mining Industry.

Basic direction of scientific research is technology of surface mining of sloping mineral deposits and reclamation of lands affected by mining operations.

He has published about 100 scientific papers, including monographs and textbooks. He has state and industry awards.


Panchenko.jpgValery Vasilievich Panchenko

Mining engineer, professor department of Surface Mining, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor.

Born in 1948. He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute in 1971 with honors.

He worked on engineering and scientific positions in the scientific research sector. Since 1978 till present, he teaches.

Lectures in the disciplines: Processes of Surface Mining, Organization and Planning of Surface Mining and Computer Technology in the Design of Mining Industry. Supervises designing diploma and prepares postgraduate students.

Basic direction of scientific work is developing a methodology designing and planning of surface mining: mining-geometrical and economic-mathematical modeling of mining operations for solution projects and planned tasks, simulation modeling of technological processes for determination of their rational parameters.

He has more than 100 scientific and methodical publications.

Academic secretary of specialized Academic Council for thesis defense. He has received industry awards.
